We are officially heading into spooky season in the Hudson Valley, which means our annual haunted events are popping up on the calendars. What is wild is how fast some of them are booking up and selling out. If there is something you are hoping to do, don't wait; you might get shut out.
One historically Spooky event has already had to add dates due to popular demand. "Six Feet Under Huguenot Street" posted the first round of dates, which filled up in less than a week. The September Friday Night Tours are completely sold out. They have added some more dates, but don't wait, they are going fast too.
What is Historic Huguenot Street in New Paltz, New York
If you aren't familiar with Huguenot Street or this event, here is a quick synopsis. Huguenot Street is a 10 Acre Historical Landmark District located in the Village of New Paltz in Ulster County. It is considered one of America's oldest still existing neighborhoods. When you walk the streets, you are instantly transported back to the 1700s.

At one end of the street is the Old Huguenot Burying Ground, which has graves that date back to the early European settlers. "Six Feet Under Huguenot Street" is a guided tour that takes you back through time, telling the stories of the community and the final resting place of its residents. You will hear stories about the people, the history, and even details about colonial funeral practices.

Select Thursday dates are now available. Contact the Tours & Interpretation Coordinator at (845) 255-1660 x114. Remember, if you plan to take the tour, this is an old area with uneven ground, so keep that in mind as you plan your group and footwear. It is a good idea to let them know in advance if anyone in your group has any physical limitations that way they can help provide you with the best possible experience.
How Much Are Tickets For The Huguenot Street Cemetery Tour
Ticket Prices: $25 general admission, $20 discounted admission (for HHS members, seniors, students, active military personnel and their families, veterans, and kids 13-17, $15 kids’ admission (for kids 7-12), free admission (for children 6 and under)
