Popular Donut Shop Announces Major New Paltz Shop Update
A popular Hudson Valley donut shop that is well known for their signature flavors and incredible offerings has announced a significant changed for their New Paltz storefront. Though their donuts will still be available around the area, customers only have a limited number of days to stop into the New Paltz location...for the time being.
Hole In The Wall Donuts
One of the more positive and delicious things to come out of COVID was a Kingston based Donut business called Hole in the Wall Donuts. The former owner of The Anchor in Kingston, Brandy Walters, pivoted after closing the restaurant into the donut business and launched the pop-up in Kingston.
For four years, Hole in the Wall Donuts were available around the Hudson Valley at farmer's markets and via pop-ups at other businesses, until Brandy was able to secure her first
. Earlier this year, Hole in the Wall found another home back in Kingston, taking over Ollie’s Slice Shop at 580 Broadway for a residency. More than just donuts, Hole in the Wall offers bagels, coffees, and more!
Hole in the Wall To Temporary Close New Paltz Location
On May 18th, Hole in the Wall took to social media to share a vulnerable update about operations at the Main Street New Paltz location
We opened our shop in New Paltz back in September with big hopes and dreams...unfortunately it has not gone well for us and at this point we need to take a step back and reassess. We are not giving up, but we cannot afford to keep going on this way.
With the above in mind, the New Paltz shop will be open May 22nd, 23rd and 24th and then closed for the remainder of May, June and July, with a re-opening plan for August of 2026.
The hope is that this time will allow us to save up some money and try to better assess how to get our New Paltz location in a better position with the community. The Kingston Shop will remain open and we will continue to do Farmer's Markets and other local events.
So, while you can still get your donut fix at their Kingston location, or at various local events and farmer's markets, be sure to swing by New Paltz before the temporary closure beginning 5/25. Follow along with all things Hole in the Wall related via their Instagram, here.
