Ok, so I like beer. I don't know many people who don't. But I actually got a little bit of brewery education when I checked out Sloop, so that's why I wanted to write about them a little bit.

There's levels of breweries. I admit, I hadn't put much thought into the idea that the different sizes had different names. There's microbreweries, and then there's "nanobreweries". Off the Wiki, "The U.S. Department of the Treasury defines nanobreweries as "very small brewery operations" that produce beer for sale". Sloop on it's website says that their brewing system is less than 3 barrels. Dig it.

I'll admit. I don't know much about them, but the reviews are really very good. Also, their labels are kickass. So, I picked out my favorite and read up a bit about it: The Black C. A Belgian black IPA. So much of that sounds bonkers in my own head. I'm not normally an IPA kinda guy, but if it's a darker color I'd love to give it a shot. Check out the reviews at BeerAdvocate.  (Spoiler Alert: They're grooving at an 85 out of 100. Damn good score.)
