Sloop Brewing Closes Elizaville Location
It's the end of an era.
If you're familiar with the craft beer scene here in the Hudson Valley, you know that it's booming. You also know that Sloop Brewing is one of the most popular (and delicious) craft beers that originated in the area.
A quick background of Sloop from their website: it was created by Adam Watson and Justin Taylor in 2011 and was first sold at different farmers markets around the Hudson Valley. The duo then opened up their first production facility in a barn in Elizaville.
More recently Sloop opened a 25,000 square foot brewery where IBM used to be located in East Fishkill.
With that being said, Sloop announced on Thursday, October 24th that they will be closing their barn location. In a statement on Facebook they said:
Unfortunately, it just no longer makes logistical sense to keep the Barn open as our brewery and team grow and change.
The Barn in Elizaville will serve up its last brew on Sunday, November 3rd. You can visit the barn at 1065 Co Rte 19 in Elizaville.
