A 19-year-old Kingston man was killed last week after being struck by a CSX train.

According to Hudson Valley News Network the teen who has been identified by co-workers as Zahmek Blakey was struck on the tracks just off Ulster Avenue Friday night.

Ulster town police say the teen was walking southbound in the gauge of the tracks just east of Spiegel Brothers Paper Company when he was hit by a south-bound train in the CSX yard. They believe the teen was wearing ear buds at the time of the accident.

Although police did not officially identify the victim as Blakey his coworkers at Target in the Hudson Valley Mall say they are grieving the death of their worker. Check out more of the report with Hudson Valley News Network.
