A hiking trail right in the Hudson Valley made the list of the World's Most Romantic Hikes, competing with locations like Santorini and Australia.

The Hudson Valley is home to some amazing hiking. Mount Beacon, the Shawangunk Mountains, and Breakneck Ridge are just some of the most popular trails. Would we really be the Hudson Valley without the mountains that make it a valley? The area is known to draw hikers and climbers of all levels to enjoy the beauty.

I never thought hiking and climbing were romantic until I began doing it with my boyfriend. It's not the hike that's romantic, that's usually hard and exhausting. But the view at the end takes your breath away like the first time you said "I love you". One hike in the Hudson Valley was recently named the most romantic in the world. The hike was named amongst 19 others to make up the list of "20 of the World's Most Romantic Hikes" from Brides.

Gertrude's Nose in New Paltz was ranked by Brides as the 15th most romantic hike in the world. This followed hikes from locations like Portugal, Greece, and New Zealand. It beat out locations including Peru, California, and New Mexico. Can you believe that little New Paltz made the list? Honestly, I can. Take a look below at some pictures of Gertrude's Nose in New Paltz and then you'll understand the beauty.
