Hudson Valley Wendy's to Give Away Free Food

Thrillist reports that Wendy's will be celebrating its 50th birthday and you're invited to the party. And by party, I mean their restaurants...but for free food. Sadly, you can't walk in and get a free Frosty or burger, but you actually will get free food.

To get free food in honor of Wendy's birthday, all you have to do is order something, scan the code, and go back to Wendy's. In a less condensed way, you simply need to scan the "Sip & Scan" icon that will be on any Wendy's drink cup or takeout bag that you get with a purchase, according to Thrillist. You have to scan it on the Wendy's app. Once you scan it, a free menu item will be unlocked. Just show the unlocked item to your Wendy's server on your next run.

There are Wendy's locations across the Hudson Valley including Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls, Newburgh, and Middletown.
