Have you heard of the #onechipchallenge that was happening on social media? It is exactly what it sounds like. All you have to do is eat one single tortilla chip. I learned the hard way that it is not as easy it it looks.

The only problem is that the tortilla chip is covered in some of the spiciest peppers in existence. The chip made by Paqui is covered with Carolina Reaper and Naga Viper Pepper. The Carolina Reaper is just over 2 million Scoville Heat Units. The Naga Viper is just shy of a million.

This is easily the spiciest chip. I was able to get my hands one despite them being removed from the shelves. It also is a dangerous chip as well. The challenge is intended for adults. One teen reportedly died after attempting to eat the chip. The cause of death has not been disclosed yet. Paqui has been releasing these chips annually for about 7 years.

The challenge is completed after to eat the entire chip. You are then graded based on how long you can go without drinking or eating to help the the extreme heat and pain.

I consumed a piece of chip about the size of a fingernail and I was in rough shape for about 40 minutes. I couldn't believe people eat the entire thing.

If you attempt the challenge be safe and read the warning labels. Some people love spicy food. There's spicy and then there is painful.

Have you ever attempted a spicy food challenge before? Did it go better than mine?
