Barbershop Switches Sides of the Street in Fishkill, NY

Back in August, we shared some big news out of Fishkill, as the owners of the popular In the Cut barbershop told us that they were planning a big move from the location they've called home for many years. At the time, one of the shop's owners Robb Hanlon told us that after months of weighing the options of moving or not he and his team were presented with an opportunity that was too good to pass up.

The opportunity would not only give the barbershop the to chance expand with a bigger floor plan, but it also would allow them to include Trends Inn Salon (located behind In the Cut) in the new space and it wouldn't be too far away from the old barbershop. Hanlon told us the move was expected to happen sooner than later and he couldn't wait for everyone to help him and his team breathe new life into a historic Fishkill location.

Barbershop Moves into Historic Building in Fishkill

After months of construction and planning In the Cut has moved from 1127 Main Street to their new location at 1148 Main Street/Route 52. Yes, that is almost directly right across the street as they have officially moved into the old Ketcham Motors building. The building itself is no stranger to successful businesses as it was home to a car dealership (Chrysler?) until sometime around 2007/2008 and has been often referred to as one of Fishkill's most legendary locations.

In The Cut Expands

The new location is now open on the barbershop side as you can see above with numerous barbers ready to give anyone a fresh cut. The Trends Inn Salon Suites is still under construction and is expected to be moving in sooner than later, and will offer customers a variety of beauty options when they open. Hanlon did tell us while we walked around his new shop the other day that this is just the beginning as he and his team have some other cool things planned for the new location. He promised to share those plans with us as soon as possible.
