Even though most local school districts are on Spring Break already (this first week in April), the days seem to be getting longer and longer, and I know I'm not alone as a parent wondering 'what else can I do to occupy this kid until she goes back to school next Tuesday?'

In addition to our previous list of places to distract your kid here in the Hudson Valley, how about a few suggestions of local (and reasonably priced, some even free) spots to occupy the kiddos during this school break?

When Was The Last Time You Visited A Local Library?

If your little ones do better at home, there's a lot of companies that offer to-go kits, where you get all the supplies necessary to create at home. One of our favorite local places for that is Sawdust & Glitter in Poughkeepsie!

Then of course there's these classic go-to Dutchess County based places that often run specials during school breaks.....
