These Local Spots To Offer Free Kids Bowling This Summer

Summertime is almost here, we can't believe it either. College graduations are upon us here in the Hudson Valley, followed closely by Memorial Day Weekend, and that means the end of the school year is in sight.

With that in mind, do you have a plan to occupy the kids this summer? How does free bowling sound?

Kids Bowl Free Returns For Summer 2026

One of my favorite traditions to pass along to the Hudson Valley is the Kids Bowl Free Program, which has been running for close to 20 years. There are more than 1300 locations across the U.S. for families to select from for their Kids Bowl Free home-base.

Here's how it works:

• Visit the Kids Bowl Free website and find your local bowling alley of choice.
• You register your kid(s), ages 2-12 for the program
• They'll have two free games of bowling each day for the summer program (this year showing June 9th - August 28th) during the designated hours
• All information will be sent to the registered parent/guardian on file

All participants must wear bowling shoes - rental shoes available. Not good for use with daycare outings, camps, business or club outings, or birthday party celebrations.

Purchased Family Passes are valid for use only during posted Kids Bowl Free times and when bowling with a Kids Bowl Free child from your family. Participating centers reserve the right to assign the number of lanes based upon the size of your group.

Cannot be combined with any other offer.

But Wait, There's More!

If you're wondering about family members outside of that 2-12 age range who may want to bowl, you can add on a Family Pass:

The family pass is a one time payment.  It's not per person, per week or per month.  You pay just a single payment and you can get 2 Games free all summer long for up to 4 adults during your centers Kids Bowl Free hours.

Note that a Family Pass is not required in order for the kids to use their two free games per day, however, the Family Pass can only be used in combination with children participating in Kids Bowl Free.
