Local College Wins Award for It’s Art Museum

A local Hudson Valley college has been recognized as one of the top 35 US college art museums. According to a press release, the colleges were selected based on if they had a permanent collection spanning multiple historical and cultural periods, the overall size of their collection, if they had unique opportunities for university students and if they also had a significant community involvement.

Did you know that Vassar College even had a museum that was open to the pucblic? The Vassar College Art Museum is called The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center and is located at 124 Raymond Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. The hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10AM to 5PM and Sundays 1PM-5PM.
