
Man Broke Into Vassar College Townhouse, Police Say
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department reports the arrest of Franz L. Brandon Jr., following a report of a burglary in progress at a Vassar College townhouse located on Brewers Lane.
On February 19, at approximately 12:02 AM, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police received a call from a Vassar College student reporting a burglary in progress at an occupied townhouse.
Officers responded and obtained a description of the suspect. A subject matching the description was located in the area by a responding officer. The subject was detained and identified as Brandon Jr.
He was taken into custody following an investigation. Brandon Jr. was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree (Felony) and Petit Larceny. He was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Poughkeepsie Court at a later date.
The Town of Poughkeepsie Police was assisted at the scene by the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
