Mini Golf Tournament To Benefit Hudson Valley Dog Park
An upcoming mini golf fundraiser will benefit the construction of a new local dog park. The Town of Mamakating will host this nine hole tournament on Saturday April 30th.
Foursomes are a very reasonable $5 bucks per person and there will be lots of fun and prizes for those who play. But if you want to go the extra mile, there are sponsorship options available too. You can even sponsor your own hole for $500.
According to a Facebook post from February, a penny social fundraiser raised nearly $4,000 which is half of the cost of the fencing needed. But there is a ways to go. Lights, a security camera, benches and other items are still needed.
There is also an ongoing dog park brick paver fundraising effort going on. You can purchase a customized brick to be included in the memorial garden of the park. 1 four by eight brick is $75 while an eight by eight brick will cost $150.
