New York Man Wins Two Lottery Prizes, Claims Money a Year Later

When you buy a lottery ticket you may try to win the big prize but most players would be happy to win a small piece of the jackpot.
Imagine winning the lottery once. Then imagine winning twice. How about winning twice in one night? It might sound like a dream to many of us but it is a reality for a man from Long Island.
USA Today reports that Marco Accardo from West Hempstead, New York recently cashed in two $1 million prizes. He may have recently cashed these tickets in but he reportedly hit the winning numbers in a drawing from November 11, 2022. He recently cashed them in right before the deadline ended.
Accardo apparently held on to prizes worth a lump sum of over $1.3 million after taxes for a year.
