Even More Exciting News From Patsy’s Roadhouse
Updated: Friday, April 18th 2025
Last week we did our best to calm the nerves of some Hudson Valley'ers as they heard rumblings of a favorite local spot temporarily closing. Patsy's Roadhouse, located in Hopewell Junction, has become somewhat of a household name in the area over the past several years, notorious for these delicious chips they offer, and their 'hanging by a thread' pretzel served on a banana hook.
Last week the news of their temporary closure came as a surprise to many, but they assured everyone they'd be making some menu changes, keeping those popular fan favorites, and then just announced another bit of exciting information...this time regarding their liquor license.
They're back up and running, business as usual, and now able to serve delicious drinks outside, just in time for patio season!

Original Story: No, Patsy's Roadhouse Is Not Closing Forever...
...and no, they aren't getting rid of their famous giant pretzels that come hanging on those banana hooks you probably have in your kitchen - the restaurant confirmed that, in writing, phew!
In a post on the East Fishkill Community Forum Facebook page on April 9th, as well as their own social media, Patsy's Roadhouse shared the announcement below:
Commence panic, yes pretzel panic, and concerns about other fan favorite menu items including their signature chips that everyone goes wild for.
Please do not get rid of the pretzel, its the best thing I ever tasted.
I love the chips! Pretzel too.

Temporary Closure For New Menu Launch
Personally, Patsy's has become our family go-to for all sorts of celebrations including birthdays, kindergarten graduation, even my first adventure out of the house after reconstructive ankle surgery a few years ago! The pretzel was bigger than the top of the crutches.
The pretzel is a must-have whenever we walk through the doors to Patsy's, and the french onion soup served with scissors is also a popular pick for many, myself included.
In their social media posts, Patsy's has confirmed the pretzel isn't going anywhere, and concerned community members who asked about things like BBQ and french onion burgers, goat cheese for burger toppings, and pork nachos were assured these items would be staying on the new menu.
They also made it very clear that those chips everyone raves about will 'never leave us again.'
Though Patsy's has calmed a lot of fears about items people don't want to see leave the menu, they have kept the new items a surprise. Assuring customers that it won't be long before they open up again, new menu and all, customers are encouraged to their social media pages for updates about their re-opening date.
