Russo's Italian Deli, New Paltz
Not long ago, the word started circulating about some potential changes in ownership at a popular New Paltz deli. For those familiar with New Paltz, you remember the various occupants over the years, but Russo's Italian Deli had become a staple for New Paltz for some time.
The official word came in mid-May that Russo's would be changing owners, and also names, and now we've learned more about the new occupants of 164 Main Street.
Picked Pig Deli, New Paltz
New signage perfectly branding their name, Pickled Pig Deli is now officially operating at the former Russo's location in New Paltz. A "now serving breakfast" banner displayed along the front porch, with descriptions of popular menu items wrapped around the main entrance to the deli, visitors will find many of their favorite items still on the menu (looking right at you, Luca), along with some new options as well.
Open seven days a week from 8am until 4pm, Picked Pig has branded their business with the fact that keeping the menu limited helps keep ordering short and simple.
In addition to the standard deli options like sandwiches, wraps and breakfast options, Pickled Pig's menu also includes a variety of salads, smash burgers, hot platters, and even 'mini trays' which appear to be like a very small catering option, enough to feed a family for dinner.
Initial reviews look positive, with one commenter saying that it is 'quickly becoming their new go-to place in New Paltz.' Have you tried the new Pickled Pig in New Paltz yet?
