I've had a few friends who have been looking for homes in the area and they've described how frustrating the whole experience really is. One friend recently mentioned to me how they were on their way to a showing of a house and they got a call from their real estate agent before they pulled in the driveway saying the house sold and it sold for a TON over the asking price. • Sullivan County: 53 days
• Orange County: 52 days
• Dutchess County: 42 days

It looks like homes stay on the market the longest in Ulster County and they stay on the shortest in Dutchess County.

What's the median sale price for a home in the Hudson Valley?

These surely have increased over the past few years.

• Sullivan County: $320,000
• Ulster County: $420,000
• Orange County: $420,000
• Dutchess County: $432,500

As you can see Sullivan County is coming in at the lowest and once again Dutchess County is coming in at the highest.
