Savona’s New Fishkill Location Now Open For Business

A well-known family in the Hudson Valley with very successful restaurants in Kingston, Hudson, Poughkeepsie and Rhinebeck have now moved a bit further south, officially opening their Fishkill location.

Built off of their Italian family traditions, the Savona family in is celebrating the success of their newest location, Savona's Pizzeria, Fishkill.

Savona's History: Family & Feeding The Community

The original (and current-day) owner, Emanuel Savona, a native of Sicily, immigrated to the states, New York specifically, at age 17 with a dream of one day being 'successful.'  Now, at age-85, many years and several restaurants later, the Hudson Valley is certainly benefitting from that success.

In a post thanking the Hudson Valley for the 'tremendous love and support' after the Fishkill location opening over the weekend, Savona's shared the following:

Today, as our original founder, Mr. Manny Savona, stands in yet another kitchen of a restaurant that bears his name, we pray he feels the success his seventeen-year-old self sailed across the seas of Sicily for.

Prior to their Hudson Valley-based restaurants and pizzerias, Emanuel and his wife, Cecilia McSweeney-Savona opened bakeries and pizzerias in Brooklyn while raising four children, and eventually welcoming 13 grandchildren.

Savona's Pizzeria Fishkill, Now Open!

Now serving up their signature Italian specialties in Fishkill, Savona's Pizzaria located at 17 Merritt Blvd in Fishkill, part of Ransley Square, is officially open for business.

Serving up the same warmth, hospitality, and family recipes you know and love — now with a focus on artisanal pizzas, and that signature Savona’s touch.

Along with their 'perfect garlic knot,' the Savona's Pizzeria menu in Fishkill offers classic Italian heroes, calzone, stromboli, pizzas, parms, pasta and of course Italian desserts. There's been an overwhelmingly positive response not only to the news of the new location, but also from those those who have been lucky enough to try it already.
