Former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland has a new band and a new album. The 47 year-old rocker was focusing on a solo career in recent years but decided to change gears with a new project. Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts are set to release their first album 'Blaster' later this month. According to Billboard Weiland says the first single off the album called "White Lightning" was inspired by the Prohibition Era.

Take a listen to the single and judge for yourself. Looks like another home run from Weiland...but thats just my opinion. The band is currently on the road promoting 'Blister' due out on March 31st. You can catch Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts at the Gramercy Theatre in NYC on March 10th.
