Take a Fairy Tale Road Trip in New York State
This fairy tale road trip goes throughout New York State and includes two Hudson Valley spots.
We could all use a bit of an escape right now and what better way to escape than a road trip? Now, of course we're not encouraging you to travel all over the place or to go to places. But you can start a fairy tale road trip right in the Hudson Valley. According to Only In Your State, there is a fairy tale road trip throughout New York State. This road trip takes you to the most magical places in New York State.
Some of the non-local spots include the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester at their Butterfly Emporium, the waterfalls at Watkins Glen State Park, the fairy villages and ponds at Mendon Ponds Park, and a fairytale-like resort and restaurant at Pollywogg Holler.
But right here in the Hudson Valley, two destinations made the fairy tale road trip list. Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz was featured in Only In Your State's fairy tale road trip. Their 80 miles of hiking trails, gardens, mountain lake, rock scrambles, and horseback riding were highlighted for reasons that make it something straight out of a storybook. The other Hudson Valley spot featured was Wing's Castle in Millbrook. The road trip pointed out that the castle is simply jaw-dropping.
