The weather is starting to get warmer and thus boat owners are thinking about hitting the water. Have you taken the class, do you have your certificate? In New York, if you are born after 05/01/1996 you are required to take a boater education and safety class in order operate a motorboat. If you were born before 05/01/1996, you are not required to take a class.

  • Saturday, March 19, 2016, Hidden Harbor Yacht Club, 167 Tilden St., Port Ewen (Ulster) This class is for adults and children
  • Saturday, March 19, 2016, Mahopac Marina, 897 S. Lake Blvd., Mahopac (Putnam)
    This class is for adults and children
  • Monday, March 21, 2016, Hilton Garden Inn, Route 59, Nanuet (Rockland)
    This class is for adults and children, 2 evening sessions must attend both
    The instructor charges a fee for this course. If you are 18 or older in addition to the class fee you will be required to pay NYS Parks a $10.00 fee for your boating safety certificate.
  • Tuesday, March 29, 2016, Philmont Comm. Ctr., 14 Lake Dr.,Philmont NY (Columbia)
    This class is for adults and children, 3 sessions must attend all
  • Monday, April 4, 2016, Smart Rider Driving,84 Patrick Lane, Ste 101,Poughkeepsie
    This class is for adults and children, 2 evening sessions must attend both
    The instructor charges a fee for this course. If you are 18 or older in addition to the class fee you will be required to pay NYS Parks a $10.00 fee for your boating safety certificate.
  • Friday, April 8, 2016, Dutchess Co. Sheriff's, 150 N. Hamilton St., Poughkeepsie (Dutchess) This class is for adults and children
