It's a trend we keep hearing more and more about, the tiny house movement. Thanks to some New York high school students, the movement has found a home in the Hudson Valley.

The Times Herald Record reports students from the World School in Manhattan built a eco-friendly 'tiny house' in their classroom in the city and reassembled it at the Black Rock Forest Consortium in Cornwall.

The home is self sustaining, using solar panels for electricity, runoff from the downspouts for water needs and a bucket with sawdust for a toilet. The home sleeps two, with a loft bedroom above the living space. Sure it's not exactly luxury accommodations but that's not the point.

Around 50 students worked on the project which was constructed on the ninth floor of their school in Chelsea. The Hudson Valley grand opening was Saturday. The home is located right next to the Science Center at Black Rock Forest and tours and demonstrations are available to the public.

Do you think you could live in a home that's only 100 square feet?
