It seems like so long ago but it was just two years ago today that WRRV presented a sold-out show with Blue October at Poughkeepsie's Bardavon Theater. The Sunday night performance was their first in the region since a February 2016 appearance at WRRV Sessions at Newburgh Brewing Company. The band was on the road in support of their ninth studio album 'I Hope You're Happy' and were at the top of their game that night.

The pandemic spoiled plans earlier this year for a full tour but they did release an album This Is What I Live For on October 23 after initially pushing the album back a few months. The new album features stand out tracks 'Oh My My' and 'Moving On (So Long)' and the band has been keeping busy with a series of live stream concert events including an exclusive digital performance via the WRRV Facebook page.

Up next the band will be treating fans to their first-ever holiday special set to be streamed through GetBackUp.TV on December 12 at 9 PM EST. There are multiple packages available including digital meet and greet experiences.

Back in May their full-length feature film Get Back Up debuted which told the story of how their career was nearly derailed just as they were breaking through. And how Justin battled demons and eventually got his life back on track.

Even if we have to wait, Blue October will be back in the Hudson Valley when the time is right.
