Welshly Arms for WRRV Sessions
WRRV Sessions are back bringing live music to Newburgh Brewing Company, and we celebrated in a big way on Cinco de Mayo with Ohio natives Welshly Arms.

Lead singer Sam Getz sat down for an interview before their performance and shared just how happy the band was to be back out on the road. He also told the amazing story about how he was involved with the new theme song for the newly-named Cleveland Guardians baseball team. "It was a dream... when they rebranded, it meant we had to let go of a lot of longtime team songs... It's pretty nuts. We got to go to opening day and [singer] Bri got so sing the National Anthem... it was a great feeling and we couldn't be more proud of that team".

They also debuted new music to the WRRV Sessions crowd. Sam shared that the band was able to record a new album over the pandemic, and shared a new track, Stand. Welshly Arms fans can expect the album to drop this summer.
It couldn't have been a more perfect setting at Newburgh Brewing Company for WRRV Sessions, especially because of what day it was. The show landed on Cinco de Mayo, and it felt like the Hudson Valley weather knew it. It was the only day of the week that got above 70 degrees and it just felt like a celebration.
Sam Getz also touched on the fact that the beer was going down a little too easily after not being on the road or drinking much alcohol for the past couple years. Luckily for him (and us), it proved not to be an obstacle and they put on a phenomenal show.
