What Businesses Should Go in Poughkeepsie’s Dutchess Center?
Dutchess Center at 625 Dutchess Turnpike is prime Poughkeepsie real estate ripe for redevelopment.
The property features more than 178,000 square feet of available space. With up to 25,000 cars a day passing the property, there's no shortage of people in the area. Most recently Payless Shoes and Aarons occupied the plaza with anchor store K-Mart closing its doors in December of 2018.
There are eight different store options available on site ranging in size from 765 square feet to 93,000 square feet for the old K-Mart building. Whatever goes in will have to compete with the already established businesses in the area including Stop and Shop, Big Lots, Darkside Records and Dollar Tree.
