U.S. News & World Report produced their 2016 Best High Schools rankings. A number of Hudson Valley high schools made the list.

The U.S. News rankings computed data on over than 21,000 public high schools in the United States. Some schools were eliminated, because they were too small to be analyzed. Schools were ranked based on their performance on state assessments, graduation rates, and how well they prepare students for college. This marked the first year that U.S. News used graduation rates in their rankings.

According to the rankings the top high school in the country is The School for the Gifted and Talented in Dallas, Texas.

26 schools from the Hudson Valley reached the top 1,000.
