World's Shortest St. Pat's Parade to be Held in Hudson Valley

A local town will be hosting a St. Patrick's Day parade that will only travel about the length of a football field.

The tiny parade is planned for Saturday, March 16 in the Village of Monroe. Pipes and drums, flag bearers and marchers will start the route at the Spill The Beans Cafe on Millpond Parkway.

After walking 306 feet, the parade will end at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill, just around the corner from the cafe. That's where all of the exhausted marchers will finally get to sit down and enjoy corned beef and cabbage. Of course, Irish beer will also be served.

The public is invited to attend the family-friendly parade led by grand marshal, Kenny Ramlow who has worked at the local Shop Rite for two decades. The extremely short parade is the perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day for people who want to see a parade, but don't have the time or interest in standing outside for hours on end.
