Bagel Battle Continues ON Hudson Valley!

Battle Bagel continues....
This weeks bagel adventure takes us to, “Bagels & Bites” Rt 9W in Highland. I must admit, this place will get high points not just for their bagels, but for the fact that when I went in to buy 6 bagels on an afternoon, the person at the café counter told me that after 12 noon, you can get 13 bagels at the price of six. Bakers dozen for $5.25, this is one of the best bagel values I have found in the Hudson Valley.

These bagels have a light chew to them, a pleasant yeasty breadiness to them. The boil appears to be very light.  When toasted with cream cheese they were pleasant and what you expect when you are craving  comfort food. The crust of the bagel very thin and flaked, yes, there were toast crumbs everywhere. But that is a very small price to pay for bagel goodness.

Just a note, Bagels & Bites also has a Wednesday Dinner that they are serving. Their menu for breakfast and lunch is extensive and the counter person was very helpful. I will def be back, for the bagel special and to try the Wednesday night dinner.
