Amazon has been back in the local news this week due to the fact that they are having zoning issues with the warehouse/industrial property that they are looking to take over in Montgomery (Orange County, NY).

Apparently, the first time the property was zoned, everything was ok. For some reason, the name of the new owner changed on the paperwork, so the zoning process had to take place again. With the new zoning process, comes hearings where people can complain. Enter Joe or Jess Q. Public using their right to speak up and make their opinion known.

One of the biggest complaints as to why Amazon (according to quotes in the Times Herald Record Online) is that the jobs being created by this 1 million-square-foot facility, allegedly, won't be filled by local people in the area.

How about letting people apply for the jobs and making sure people know that the jobs are available? Some of these jobs start at $32,000 a year.

Here are a few of the job listings for openings that are expected at the new warehouse. The listings are from google.com, indeed.com, recruit.net and careersandjob.com. If you are applying, best of luck to you. Feel free to share your experience with us as you go through the Amazon hiring process.
