If you consider yourself to be a 'Book Nerd' then you are not only always reading a book, but you also have a stack of books that you are probably going to start reading as soon as you finish the one you are currently reading. Sound familiar? Look, no one is judging you.

If you still love to read actual books, then you might know about one of the best-kept secrets in used book stores in the Hudson Valley. The book store around the corner from the Boardman Rd Branch of the Poughkeepsie Public Library.

The official name is 'Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library' Book Store and they are only open select hours on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, but they have everything that you could possibly want in a used book store and 2/26 and 2/28/19 everything is half price.

Keep in mind that this is only an excuse to draw you in. Hardcover books usually are $2 so you will pay $1, etc. They do have a small section of items that are rarer and thus are never included in any sale, but never fear, they have paperbacks, hardcovers, vinyl, CDs, even DVDs.

The best way to see what they have is to go and check them out in person as they are always getting donations. The most information that I can find is on their Facebook page as well as from the info I get when I am in there. Remember to allow for some time to search through everything and get a basket when you first walk in, you are going to need it.
