New York Concert Fans Rank The Best Venues in the State
I've been having a really good year when it comes to going to concerts, musicals and comedy shows! First of all, we've had some incredible WRRV Sessions this year with the likes of Papa Roach, Judah & the Lion, Blame My Youth, and Royel Otis at Newburgh Brewing Company. Outside of that, I've already seen Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Eat World at the MVP Arena in Albany, and Amos Lee at The Egg in Albany. Later this summer, I'm going to see Passenger at the Beacon Theater in New York City.
When it comes to musicals, I saw Little Shop of Horrors in the Rhinebeck Center for Performing Arts, Core Theatre Group's production of The Last Five Years in Warwick, Back to the Future: The Musical at Proctors Theater, and Wicked on Broadway. As for comedy, I saw David Koechner at City Winery and Jimmy Carr at The Egg. Plus, I'm going to see Kevin Hart at the MJN Convention Center. All that being said, I'm in the middle of planning on trying to see even more shows!
Best Music Venues in New York
We are so lucky here in New York to have so many incredible venues. My favorite concert ever was Matchbox Twenty at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center. The show blew me away. I've yet to see a terrible concert at Bethel Woods. Bethel Woods is one of those places where I love sitting on the lawn because the energy of crowd is palpable. I saw my first show at The Egg last year in Albany, and it was so good! I feel lame saying that I finally went two years ago because I spent 4 years living in Albany, and I never went during that time. Oh well!
