This is a confusing one. Because when you read the headline, you don't think--as many It Came From the Internet stories force you to think--"Oh my god!" or "How in the world did that happen?" or "That person must be an animal!"

You see "Canadian Man Steals $1,500 Worth of Chewing Gum" and you just think "...why?"

I have no idea! Of all the bigger ticket items at a pharmacy, or the items one would think have significant street value on the black market, gum isn't even in the top 1000. Is this guy trying to sell this stuff to 5th graders? I mean, I remember back in the day buying Warheads in bulk and then selling them for 10 or 25 cents on the playground (that was elementary school hustlin', y'all), but who wants gum so badly that they won't just go to a local convenience store or gas station or supermarket and plunk down a dollar for a pack that will satisfy not only this craving but the next 20.

Now all I can think about is this scene from Seinfeld:
