Central Hudson Has Special Pop-Up Shop at DC Fair
Central Hudson Gas & Electric will once again hold a special "Pop-Up Shop" at the Dutchess County Fair, taking place 8/20-8/25/2019 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY.
According to the Central Hudson website, the big deal that they are offering fair goers (and one that can only be purchased at this fair pop-up shop) is 10 LED light-bulbs for $10 and it includes a desk lamp. There are also 8 directional LED bulbs available for $10.
The website goes on to say that:
LED, or light emitting diode, lightbulbs are designed to reduce electricity used for lighting by 70 to 90 percent while producing the same brightness, and last up to 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. By lowering energy use, each LED bulb is estimated to save households an average of about $8 per year, and with an expected life span of up to 20 years, provide a total lifetime savings of $150 each.
Have you made the switch to energy saving light bulbs in your home? Have you noticed a savings?
