
Citizen Emergency Preparedness Training This Weekend
Would you know what to do in the event of a natural disaster? Get informed of what to do and when this Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Kenco, Hurley Mountain Rd in Kingston. The information will be presented by New York National Guard, with experts from the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services' Office of Emergency Management and Office of Fire Prevention and Control. It is a free event, they would just like you to RSVP so they know how many people to expect. Each family that participates will receive free NYS Disaster Preparedness Kits, which contains key items to assist post disaster, whether is it natural or man made.
Just a few of the things that will be covered at the training session include, how to prepare for a disaster, how to develop a emergency family plan, and what are the best supplies to stock up on in the event of an emergency.
