Bill Belichick and company are under investigation after their dominant win against Indianapolis Sunday night.

The New England Patriots appeared to be the Pats of old on Sunday, absolutely crushing the visiting Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship game. But could some of their old tricks have come back, too?

Bill Belichick and his staff are certainly no stranger to controversy, with their "Spygate" scandal a few years back, but this would be a new one for them: deflating footballs to make them easier to play with.

According to WTHR:

A source within the NFL tells wthr.com's Bob Kravitz that the league is investigating the possibility that the Patriots deflated footballs in their 45-7 win over the Colts Sunday night.

The source told Kravitz that officials took a ball out of play at one point and weighed it.

A deflated football could potentially be easier to throw and catch in poor weather conditions than a properly inflated ball.

Kravitz was told that if a league investigation confirms deflated footballs, it would result in lost draft picks for the Patriots.
