Former Poughkeepsie Grand, Now DoubleTree Grand by Hilton, Now Accepting Reservations
As with any other change, adjusting to the new name of a well-known area landmark will take a bit of time. This particular historic area of Poughkeepsie has gone through some pretty significant changes over the past several years; remember back in late 2018 when it was announced that the Mid Hudson Civic Center would be changing to the Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center, or MJN Center for short.
Well, MJN's next door neighbor, the formerly infamous Poughkeepsie Grand, has rebranded and is now booking under their new name.

DoubleTree Grand By Hilton, Former Poughkeepsie Grand, Ready For Reservations
As the former Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel transitions to DoubleTree Grand by Hilton, the new owners have invested in significant renovations and refurbishing of rooms, lobby areas, conference and event spaces.
Photos have been shared of the new seating and lobby restaurant area, beautiful new bathrooms with modern designs, and stunning guest rooms.
With the renovations nearing completion, we have information on when guests can begin booking reservations under the DoubleTree Poughkeepsie name.
As announced late last week, the DoubleTree Grand by Hilton Poughkeepsie is accepting reservations for January 28th 2024 and beyond.
DoubleTree Grand By Hilton Invites Guests To 'Soak In The History of Poughkeepsie'
The official website for the hotel indicates that the DoubleTree Grand by Hilton will be ready for business by winter 2024, and branding itself as a 'hotel near the action.'
Guests at our hotel immediately take advantage of our downtown location, which is ideally situated near Market Street with a 90-minute drive to New York, NY. When you're not out exploring, join us for a complimentary hot breakfast or our evening manager reception (available Monday through Thursday).
Room rates for the January 28th DoubleTree 'launch' are showing $162 for that Sunday night and other weekends in January, with $142 for a weeknight stay.
