Wet and Wild: Dunkin’ at Dunkin’ with WRRV

We're not above a little bribery, especially if it helps kids right here in the Hudson Valley. Unless Nick from the WRRV Morning Grind agrees to perch on a dunk tank seat for donations to WRRV's Shop with a Cop, 'cause then that's exactly what we'll do.

Dunkin' at Dunkin' went down Thursday morning at the Dunkin in Wappinger's Falls. Before the sun had even risen, we had the tank that was generously donated by PartyTime Rentals filled and ready for its first dunk. We just needed to call in some reinforcements to make sure it got filled on time...

Suit Up!

A huge thank you to Alex from the Wappingers Falls Fire Department for showing up at the crack of dawn to help out the kids in the Hudson Valley (above right). Another big thanks to Dutchess Scuba Diving for fitting Nick with a dry suit so he didn't get hypothermic (above left).

Literally any contribution would get a donor at least one shot to dunk Nick. Not only did we have individual donations from so many generous Hudson Valley residents, but officers from Fishkill, Wappingers Falls, and Peekskill all showed up to donate as well.

The more money we collect, the more local kids we can send on shopping sprees this holiday season. WRRV's Shop with a Cop gives nominated children gift cards to take on a shopping spree at the Poughkeepsie Galleria alongside a member of local law enforcement.
