Everything You Need To Know About Monday's Strawberry Moon

On Monday, June 17, 2019, there will be a Strawberry Moon.

CNN reports that another major moon event is happening. This time, it's called a Strawberry Moon. Now the moon won't be pink or red or strawberry colored by any means. It's actually a full moon, that was the sign for Native Americans in the Algonquin tribes to harvest strawberries. It has also been referred to in other parts of the world as the Honey Moon, Mead Mood, Full Rose Moon, Oak Moon, Cold Moon, or Long Night Moon.

Sadly, this moon phenomenon has already happened. The best time to see the strawberry moon in the Hudson Valley was at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, June 17. If you were on the West Coast, CNN reports that 1:30 a.m. You could also get a glimpse of it on Sunday, June 16 around sunset.

The next big celestial event is the summer solstice, a.k.a. the first day of summer, on Friday, June 21, according to CNN.
