The Jerky Boys are poised to make a comeback with the first new album of original material in nearly two decades. But did you know The Jerky Boys' founder Johnny Brennan is from right here in the Hudson Valley?

Brennan's Jerky Boys are a collection of characters best known for their hijinks making crank calls. The comedy albums led to movies and more and are considered highly influential among many of today's comedians.

And now, according to a new article in Rolling Stone, he's back with a great selection of classic characters to go along with some new ones! Albums released in 2001 and 2007, while funny, consisted of previously unreleased material. So the album due later this year will be the first of original material in more than 20 years.

In addition to the new album, there are plans in the works to turn the Jerky Boys into a traveling tour using holograms to represent the characters. Hologram technology has come a long way and has the potential to be very funny if done well.

Brennan was kind enough to recently stop by and visit with the WRRV Morning Grind. He was able to help Nick out with a problem he's been having.
