Fan in Renegades Hat Accused of Interfering in Yankees Game
Our local Minor League Baseball team got some Major League Baseball attention this weekend.
The concept of fan interference is a touchy one in baseball; fans just can't seem to keep their hands to themselves sometimes. From Jeffrey Maier to Steve Bartman, the annals of baseball history are brimming with fans whose participation in the game had an impact on the outcome.
Such was the case in Sunday's New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays game, where an individual reached into the field of play in an attempt to snag a foul ball and inadvertently ended up costing the Yankees a hit. Now, before you get out your pitchforks and torches, remember: #1. You might also get excited and try to grab a ball if it came your way during a game, and #2. The Yankees got absolutely clobbered last night, so it's not like it cost the team the game.

Now, if only I could get my hands on one of the throwback hats with this logo:
I would be all over the place, interfering in everything I possibly could.
UPDATE: I got a chance to talk to Roy, and here's his take on things:
