I never know what the right thing to do is in a situation like this. It's a question that a lot of people wrestle with and I'm not really sure there's a right answer for it. Unfortunately with how expensive things are I really have been avoiding going out to eat. Last night I had to make an exception and was actually excited to finally go into a restaurant. Everything seemed fine at first, but then the experience quickly went downhill.

Quick note:

I'm going to start off by saying anyone who works in the restaurant industry has my complete respect. I know everyone is short staffed, no one is getting paid well and it's very hard to keep help. I could not do the job myself, so this isn't attacking anyone.

What happened at a Hudson Valley restaurant?

I ordered my food and it took a VERY long time for it come out. I'm sure one person was doing 10 jobs so I said nothing. I was catching up on my emails and figured it would all work out. When my food finally did come out, it was cold and I was even willing to go beyond that. Maybe someone forgot it was out? When it bit into my wrap it just tasted off. I can't really explain what it was, but there was a bite to it that just didn't seem right. Ugh...

I barely ate it and at that point just wanted to go home because it was late. I didn't send it back and still tipped because I know how difficult it is for someone to try make a living. Part of me felt like I should have sent it back, but then I felt bad and decided it was best to just go.

Is it a big deal to send food back? Does it really upset everyone at a restaurant? Why do we feel bad about doing it? Is it the wrong thing to do? Let me know on the station app.

We should make things more positive, here are cute little libraries in the area and nice parks to check out:
