Ride This ‘Scenic Time Capsule’ Train Through New York’s Catskills
Now that spring is officially here it is time to start mapping out all the things you've talked about doing, heard about from friends, or those annual traditions that get you out and about across the Hudson Valley and beyond.
A New York exclusive ride through the 1600s farmlands and mountain forests of the Catskills will once again be rolling this season, here's what to know.

Travel Back In Time
For only $20, you can hop on the train, a vintage train, and take a nostalgic 90-minute scenic ride through the heart of the Catskills. During a time when pretty much everything feels much too expensive, this is an affordable mini-getaway that winds you through 1600s farmlands and mountain forests.
The train departs from the Stockade District in Kingston, hitting rewind on the clock and heading back to some of the oldest farmlands in America, including the Hurley Flats and then 'the train crosses a scenic trestle over Esopus Creek where the tracks hover just above sparkling trout waters.' From there, the ride takes passengers up Hurley Mountain with breathtaking views.
