A local retailer announced what was originally supposed to be the closure of select stores across the country, has turned into closing and liquidation of all locations.

On February 4, 2019, Charlotte Russe announced they were filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. The filing also included plans to close nearly 100 stores. Fast forward to March 7, 2019, and Charlotte Russe has announced they are officially closing and liquidating all locations, according to CNN.

CNN reports that Charlotte Russe owners did not want to entirely shut down the company, but SB360 won the bankruptcy auction for all of Charlotte Russe's assets. SB360 is a company that specializes in store closing and going out of business sales.

Going out of business sales will begin on Thursday, March 7 for Charlotte Russe Stores. Gift cards will be accepted through March 21, according to CNN. All stores across the country will be closed by the end of April.
