I-84 Eastbound in Fishkill Closed Due to Crash

The Poughkeepsie Journal is reporting that I-84 East around State Route 9 will be closed for several hours as the result of a fatal crash between a tractor trailer and a car between Route 52 and Route 9. Crews are on the scene investigating the area.

There are reports of another person being seriously injured. Traffic is quite heavy throughout the area as motorists take alternate routes. The public is being asked to avoid this area if at all possible. Here's the latest from the Dutchess County Emergency Management.
