I can't shop for my wife anymore. No, I'm not talking about grocery shopping. That would be ridiculous. Of course I can buy food for my family. My wife and I have two different work schedules so I'm usually buying food to make different meals. It took a while but I now know what brands my wife and what kind of food she likes.

I also have no problem shopping for her birthday or any other holiday. That's not what I'm talking about.

I have to put my foot down. I can no longer shop for health and beauty supplies for her. During my commute I pass several stores and she asks me to pick some things up for her from stores like Ulta Beauty and Sephora. I can no longer go to these stores and buy her things unless she specifically tells me what she wants. I want the product name, serial number and possibly a link to the online store.

She has a habit of telling me the name of the product and where it is in the store but that doesn't help me at all. Sometimes she even describes what the bottle looks like. It's like she's describing something to me in a different language. My wife recently sent me to one of these stores to find a face wash. It took me 15 minutes to realize they didn't have it. I went to another store and looked for another 10 minutes. They didn't have it either. I'm not equipped for this.

I think I'm just going to stick to grocery duty from now on.
