"Controversial" television host and best-selling author will be in Kingston, New York in May to discuss topics in her new book.

One of the most popular TV hosts on cable news will be making an appearance in Kingston to give her fans the opportunity to see her in person and discuss topics in her new book Prequel: An American Fight Against Fascism.

Rachel Maddow Appearing in Kingston, New York

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow will be making a rare appearance in Kingston on Saturday, May 4th at 7:30 p.m. at the Ulster Performing Arts Center at 601 Broadway in Kingston. Maddow will take the stage at UPAC to discuss the topics in her latest book PREQUEL: An American Fight Against Fascism with University of Pennsylvania Professor Anthea Butler. The book an instant #1 New York Times bestseller is Maddow's fourth book and was inspired by her research for her podcast, Rachel Maddow Presents: Ultra, from MSNBC. Prequel charts the rise of a wild American strain of authoritarianism that has been alive on the far-right edge of our politics for the better part of a century according to the Bardavon website.

Tickets to See Rachel Maddow

Tickets for "An Evening with Rachel Maddow" presented by Oblong Books in partnership with the Bardavon go on sale for UPAC and Bardavon members on Wednesday, April 10th at 11 a.m. Tickets for the general public go on sale on Friday, April 12th at 11 a.m. Tickets start at $49 each and will include a hardcover copy of Maddow's new book. Tickets can be purchased at UPAC in Kingston or at the Bardavon, 35 Market Street in Poughkeepsie, NY from Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
