PHOTOS: Judah & the Lion Return to WRRV Sessions
It's been years since Judah & the Lion were in the Hudson Valley, and on Thursday night they made their triumphant return.
WRRV Sessions are free shows hosted at Newburgh Brewing Company, and this week was massive. On Tuesday, Papa Roach played a free show to a packed house, and just 48 hours later is was Judah & the Lion's turn.

Celebrating the release of their new album, The Process, Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald made the scenic trip up from New York City (the band is playing the Rooftop at Pier 17 on Friday May 31st) to play for an eager crowd... and an entire wedding party.

Newburgh Brewing Company always has something fun going on, and it turned out that two people with very good taste had scheduled their wedding weekend welcome event at Newburgh Brewing Company at the same time as WRRV Sessions... the more the merrier! Not everyone can say their wedding kicked off with a "private" show from Judah & the Lion.

Before Judah and Brian took the stage, the guys stopped by the broadcast table (above) to talk about everything from the Nashville music culture (there's a healthy competition between bands who also love to see each other succeed) and the concept behind their new album The Process (the album's concept focuses on the five stages of grief).
Judah also shared the importance of feeling energy from the crowd when they perform, saying that his voice (especially his trademark growl) becomes stronger the more he feels feedback from the audience.
It was a historic week for WRRV Sessions, and it wouldn't have been possible without Newburgh Brewing Company, Balentine Communications, and Devitt's Nursery and Supply in New Windsor. Make sure to download the WRRV App (above) to be the first to know about the next show!
