Library Characters Come to Life for Reading Festival
Want to get the kids into reading more? Or just want an excuse to dress up as your favorite character in a book? The Red Hook Library is giving you a chance (or an excuse) to do just that.
On Saturday February 23, 2019, they are opening the doors to their I Love Reading Book Festival to be held at the Red Hook Masonic Lodge, 9 Graves St in Red Hook from 1-3pm. There is no cost to attend the event, but it is suggested that you dress up as your favorite children's book character.
In attendance at the event will be Jennifer Castle, the author of the Blair American Girl Doll books. Also in attendance will be a retired graphic novelist, both persons will be available for kids to ask them about their careers as well as their books.
Oblong Books will also be hosting a Pop-Up Book Shop with 20% off their items at that particular event that day. For more information, reach out to the Tivoli Library at 845-757-3771 or email: tivolilibrary@gmail.com or visit their website: tivolilibrary.org/
