Even though you can't go to restaurants anymore, you can still support them by getting take out or delivery.

Your girl (that's me, I'm your girl) LOVES to go out to eat. I really can't wait for restaurants and bars to open back up so I can spend money I don't have on food I don't need. Nothing brings me joy quite like that. In the meantime, I've been trying to support a local business once a week. Here are five local businesses I've supported during quarantine:

Hudson and Packard, Poughkeepsie

On Monday, April 20, Hudson and Packard opened up for the first time during quarantine for takeout only. Don't quote me on this but I believe they're doing it again on Monday, April 27. I got two of their awesome Detroit-style pizzas: the thunderbird and the Hudson Hornet. Check out their Instagram or Facebook for more information.

Cafe Maya, Wappingers Falls

Cafe Maya, unfortunately, had to close their Fishkill location during quarantine, but their Wappingers location is still open. My boyfriend and I ordered two types of fajitas, complete with tortillas, guac, sour cream, rice, and beans, plus chips with guac and salsa. It cost just over $50. There was so much food and it was all so good. PLUS they're doing margaritas and cocktails to go. Just check out their Facebook for their to-go menu and call to order for takeout.

Newburgh Brewing Company, Newburgh

Newburgh Brewing is offering beer delivery right to your doorstep. I got some beer delivered for my boyfriend's birthday and it was so fun and so easy. You just order online, they deliver it right to your doorstep, and it came cold.

Copperfield's Kildare Pub, Montgomery

Copperfield's was my old stomping ground when I was home for breaks during college, and it's still one of my favorites. I made the trip out one weekend to get my fix of Trainwreck Fries, which are waffle fries with bacon and ranch. Check out their Facebook for specials and the link to their full menu.

Lakeview House, Newburgh

For Easter this year, my family practiced a socially distant Easter. We got takeout from Lakeview House in Newburgh and literally spread out on my parents' lawn. We were all about 20 feet away from each other. We made sure to take it seriously. The food at Lakeview House has always been good and their takeout did not disappoint. Here's their takeout menu.
